News & Events Houston Plant Status – Customer Announcement Regarding Hurricane Ike
September 15, 2008 Dear Valued Customer: We wanted to give you some initial information on the status of our Houston facility after Hurricane Ike. The building itself sustained relatively minor damage to the roof, resulting in some isolated water on the floors in various parts of the facility. Production equipment, computers, records, etc. were not impacted and have been secured. We have been able to get into our adjacent finished goods warehouse and confirm that inventory stored there is safe and secure. The biggest issues throughout the entire Houston area are power, transportation, fuel availability and communications. There is currently no estimate as to when power may be restored and areas of Houston are still under a dusk to dawn curfew. Communications are hampered by a general overload of cell phone towers and the unreliability of land lines. We are currently making arrangements to have people in place at the warehouse to support shipping, for those trucks that can make it to the plant. Our tentative hours of operation will be:
